What is there not to love about Coombe abbey, Brinklow Rd, Binley, Coventry CV3 2AB its one of the most beautiful locations in the West Midlands. Set in a historic country house, this elegant hotel is 3.7 miles from Ansty Golf Centre and 5.2 miles from Coventry Cathedral.

The grounds to Coombe abbey are vast and varied with wooded areas, open fields and a lake no less. Swans glide across the calm waters that surround the main building. The Abbey itself dates back to 1150ad and during the 12th century, long before the historical hotel it is today, it was the largest and most influential monastery in Warwickshire, known as the ‘Abbey of Cumbe’.

After a long and varied history, where it passed from the hands of the monks (after the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539) to King Henry VIII, the Abbey was purchased by Sir John Harrington in 1581.

Laura & Matt had the day they always dreamed of, surrounded by their family and close friends this was an intimate gathering filled with those who meant the most to our couple.

We were so pleased to be their wedding photographers for the day, capturing each and every moment naturally as it unfolded. We started at bridal preparations with the fun and energy of Lauras amazing bridesmaids close at hand to help our bride each and every step of the way. Our bride looked absolutely stunning in her bridal gown, her wedding hair and makeup was pure perfection.

Our groom Matt awaited nervously as he stood at the end of the aisle, all of which seemed to slip away on seeing Laura for the first time in her wedding dress. A huge smile shone across his face and in no time at all wedding vows spoken our couple were now husband and wife. The wedding ceremony was beautifully crafted and meaningful, reflecting on our couples obvious love for each other.

Wedding service completed the real celebrations could begin, we captured a number of group wedding photographs before stealing our couple away for those all important wedding photographs. Laura & Matt were so at ease with us, they enjoyed each and every minute walking around the grounds of Coombe Abbey. Laura has an infectious smile and during our travels we had the odd laugh or two before returning to the rest of the wedding party.

The speeches began and after kind words from family and friends our groom could finally talk about the love he had for his beautiful wife. It was a touching speech full of wit and sincere affection for all who had made the day such a joy to witness.

As early evening arrived our couple moved outside for their first dance to live music, with family and friends all around this was the perfect end to a perfect day.
