Wedding Photographer - Wedding Videographer - West Midlands - Sophie & Jay - Wedding Day

Our second post lockdown wedding of the year took place at Holy Trinity Church, 133 Coltham Road, Willenhall with a meal at The Oakley Arms, Kiddemore Green Road, Brewood, Staffordshire. We then travelled to Sophie's parent's home for speeches, a cake cutting and a very intimate first dance to round off what was a very family orientated wedding day.

Like many couples due to the Covid outbreak Sophie & Jay were faced with the choice of whether to move their wedding date to later in the year or even like most couples next year. However due to a number of things that this lovely couple had faced over the past year they decided that there was no time like the present, and whatever happened they were determined to have their wedding day as planned.

We are so glad that they did as this was a wedding day like no other, it was fun, intimate, family orientated, full of joyful tears and of course true love. Our day started at Sophie's family home surrounded by her bridesmaids, page boys and of course her parents. Everyone pitched in to help support Sophie during the early moments in her big day, Hair and makeup done we had a few moments to capture her bridal team before we left to the church.

On arrival at the church we worked closely with the Vicar who gave guidance as per social distancing measures to ensure that this different but also very family ceremony could take place without a hitch. Sophie looked absolutely stunning in her dress, the look on Jay's face really said it all as he waited patiently at the altar.

In no time at all our couple were husband and wife, sealed with a loving kiss and a cheer of joy from family and friends. We captured a few group shots, couple shots and our guys even found time for a quick selfie before heading to The Oakley Arms, in Brewood. We love The Oakley Arms, it large enough to offer couples the space they need during this current climate, the food is fantastic and the grounds include a small lake with trees and a bridge for good measure.

We grabbed a few couple shots just as the light started to dip near to the horizon, Sophie & Jay were just so natural, the love these guys share is easy to see instantly. As they day drew to a close the cake was cut and speeches delivered our couple danced before a subtle sunset in Sophie's parents back garden. The perfect end to a perfect day.
